Teledyne Flir has added two models to its acoustic imaging category: the Si124-LD, suitable for detecting compressed air leaks, and the Si124-PD, for detecting partial discharges in high-voltage electrical systems. The devices feature onboard analysis capabilities with access to an online portal via the Flir Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. The acoustic cameras are said to provide more accurate problem detection because they have integrated microphones with an improved signal-to-noise ratio and a peak detection frequency of 35kHz.
