B&R’s new Smart Camera integrates AI directly into the machine control system. The camera can be integrated directly into the control loop, allowing machines to be adjusted during operation. Models can also be switched, and AI functions can be combined in user-defined sequences. AI inference occurs in real time, powered by an edge AI processor from Hailo. The Smart Camera is configured using a tool integrated into Automation Studio. A low-code environment allows you to configure AI vision tasks, simulate results, and manage models without any specialized knowledge.
