Reference Points in Seconds

Image: Aesub Scanningspray

The Target Net by Aesub is simply placed over an object to be scanned and it is already provided with reference points covering the entire area. This makes it an efficient alternative to the adhesive dots previously used. The reference points are distributed at intervals of 100mm on the 1,500×2,500mm net. In total, a net of this size has about 300 reference points. For metallic parts, there are magnetic reference points that hold securely to the surface. For non-metallic parts, the net is clamped or attached with optionally available suction cup mounts. Currently, the Target-Net is equipped with 6mm retro-reflective reference points. In the future, there will also be a version with 3mm.
