High-speed InGaAs image sensor

Using new circuit technology, Hamamatsu Photonics has developed a NIR area image sensor that features high speed and a wide dynamic range. The readout circuit of the InGaAs sensor G16564-0808T processes electrical signals in parallel and was able to increase the signal readout speed twice. At the same time, a function was added that only reads signals at certain wavelengths of light to achieve even higher speeds. The new signal processing also improves the signal current flow and thereby increases the dynamic range by approximately two times. Hamamatsu is already planning camera modules in which this area sensor is integrated. Other types of surface sensors with a spectral range of 0.95 to 2.55m are also being planned.
