The QR code (Quick Response) was developed by Denso in 1994 and received the European Inventor Award in 2014. As the importance of data security has increased significantly, Denso has now developed the Secure QR Code (SQRC). It enables the encryption of sensitive data.(Bild: Denso Wave Europe) Visually, the SQRC is indistinguishable from a conventional QR code. However, it ensures that access to the secured part is only possible with certain readers with the corresponding encryption key. Face recognition can also be combined with the new code.
