Physik Instrumente in Karlsruhe has implemented a quiet and long-planned generational change in its management. After 42 years as managing director, Dr. Karl Spanner has handed over the management of the company to his son, Markus Spanner (pictured). Spanner has held managerial responsibility as Managing Director Finance & Controlling at PI over the last 11 years. He will be assisted by Dr. Peter Schittenhelm (COO), Dr. Markus Czanta (CTO), Stéphane Bussa (CSO) and Heiko Brehm (CFO).
