The confocalLine CLI8500 from Micro-Epsilon combines the advantages of confocal sensors with intelligent 3D scanning technology. With 2,624 measurement points per profile and a Z-resolution of 0.2µm, it captures even the finest structures in precise detail. As the most compact confocal-chromatic line sensor in its class, it offers a measurement range of 7mm despite its small footprint. In ‘smart’ mode, measurement programs are stored directly on the sensor and executed autonomously. At the same time, it achieves a measurement frequency of up to 2kHz across the entire usable measurement range. Additionally, a tilt angle of up to ±80° along the line enables stable measurements on inclined or complex-shaped components.
