Basler introduces an upgrade to the MED Feature Set Dust Protection, available at no extra charge for eight of 22 Basler MED ace camera models. The new MED Feature Set Dust Protection+ is characterized by an optimized production process. In specially developed test tools, strict detection limits are used during camera assembly to check the sensor and, in the case of color cameras, the IR cut filter and, in the case of monochrome cameras, the cover glass. If contamination occurs, the parts are cleaned before assembly. In the final inspection, Basler tests the finished camera once again on the camera test tool. This results in an even higher degree of purity, which leads to fewer artifacts in the images and thus to better image quality.
