With the Alvium 1800 U-052 and U-291, Allied Vision integrates two 3rd generation Sony IMX CMOS sensors into its camera series with USB3 Vision interface. The U-052 delivers images with 0.5MP resolution at 626fps. The 2.8MP U-291 enables 141fps in 8-bit mode. The ADC selection (analog-to-digital converter) function allows users to operate the cameras with different sensor bit depths. By selecting the bit depth of the readout mode between 12bpp (bits per pixel), 10 bpp and 8bpp, the speed can increase up to twice. In addition to the USB variants, a MIPI CSI-2 version is also available.
