The AIT SmartGate by AIT Göhner is a scantor which is used, among other things, in the area of truck loading ramps. It can be used to automatically scan and capture all 1D and 2D codes of a pallet on one, two or three sides while the pallet is moving. The maximum movement speed is approximately 1m/s or 4kmh. The system triggers the reading automatically via the built-in light barrier. The scanning height is up to 3m and the distances to the codes are a minimum of 800mm and a maximum of 2200mm. The AIT SmartGate is optionally expandable, so that also pallet types, the number of pallets or their strapping can be detected.
