The Vial Scanner by Schäfter+Kirchhoff was developped for the in-situ imaging of Drosophila pupae and for automated measurement of their size. The scan procedure only takes about 2s. The scanner consists of a high-resolution monochrome line scan camera system, a sample holder mounted on a rotary drive, an LED backlight, and an auxiliary light for the barcode at the lower edge of the sample.
Long Range Sensor for large Measuring Distances
The optoNCDT 1760-1000 long-range laser sensor by Micro-Epsilon also measures at distances of up to 2m with up to 7.5kHz.
