Amazon Lookout for Vision now provides anomaly localization through semantic segmentation and can be used to run inference locally on a single CPU x86 computing platform running Linux without the need for a GPU accelerator. This helps save hardware costs, enables inference in low-power mode, and provides a wide range of x86-based edge appliances to choose from. In addition, the solution can be deployed on any NVIDIA Jetson edge appliance or x86 computing platform running Linux and NVIDIA GPU accelerator. With Amazon Lookout for Vision, computer vision can be used to automate visual inspection for tasks such as quality control and defect assessment, and accurately locate various types of defects.
