Aerotech’s HEX150-140HL is a miniature six-degree-of-freedom (DOF) hexapod positioning system that provides precise translation in the X, Y and Z directions, as well as rotation about each of these axes. As a result, it provides – according to the company – not only significantly better minimum incremental motion, but also greater linear travel than other products. Other features include a high load capacity of up to 7.5kg with a blocking force of up to 100N. Fast settling times allow high throughput with repeatability of less than 2m. The HexGen Hexapod simulation software integrated in the Automation1 control platform enables programming and control of the hexapods in any user-defined coordinate system.
