Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik presents the WMX 600 optical shaft measuring machine with the Quick Detect (QD) function. The machine scans the area up to the upper tip with an area camera while it is moving, stitches the images together, searches for and opens the appropriate measuring program and starts the measurement – all automatically. Thanks to the integrated QD mode, the workpiece is used as an information carrier – without an RFID chip. The measuring and evaluation software Saphir 7 records the workpiece in the measuring area at the push of a button. The software automatically aligns the coordinate system on the workpiece and saves the image from the measuring camera for part recognition. The measuring volume of the WMX 600 is 600mm in length and optionally 40 or 80mm in diameter.
