As part of the joint project ‘Dynamic-holographic measurement method for recording metallic free-form surfaces (HoloMotion)’, Fraunhofer IPM was able to show that digital-holographic measurements are also possible on moving test objects. This made it possible for the first time to use the advantages of interferometry on moving surfaces with speeds of over 10mm/s. Gear measurement was chosen as a sample application, which is extremely challenging for interferometric measurements due to high inclination angles and low component tolerances. Together with Frenco GmbH and ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a demonstrator for optical gear measurement was developed and tested for use in production.
Long Range Sensor for large Measuring Distances
The optoNCDT 1760-1000 long-range laser sensor by Micro-Epsilon also measures at distances of up to 2m with up to 7.5kHz.
