Vision Components launches the OEM laser profile sensor VC picoSmart 3D with integrated processors for the evaluation of 3D profile data and further image processing tasks. The sensor consists of a miniaturized 1MP embedded vision system, FPGA and high-end FPU processor as well as a laser line module with blue high-power laser and a compact housing (100x40x41mm) with control panel and display. The FPGA is already programmed for 3D calculation. The laser module is also a proprietary development with insensitivity to extraneous light up to 100,000 lux. The 130mW laser corresponds to class 2.
