The Intact 1360-X shearography tire inspection system by Zeiss IMT was specially developed for the inline inspection of new tires. The system requires 55 seconds to inspect a complete tire from bead to bead, including loading and unloading. This is achieved, among other things, by using a new sensor technology with ten high-resolution, simultaneously operating measuring heads. This has made it possible to reduce the axle movements and number of inspection cycles for detecting defects on the tread and sidewalls of the tires. In addition, the motors bring the cameras into the desired position more quickly.
