Together with API Metrology and Eleven Dynamics, Neobotix has developed a robot for automatically scanning large objects. The measurement data from the laser scanner is evaluated together with the precise localization of the robot and the result is a complete measurement. Regardless of whether it is a helicopter, wind turbine blades, cars or aircraft wings, the robot moves around the objects and records the entire contour in several stations. It carries out the surface scans fully automatically and thus offers a high level of reproducibility of the data. The simple graphical user interface of the Platform Pilot robot control allows the user to make changes to the measurement process after a short training period.
