The thicknessGauge 3D from Micro Epsilon is a sensor system for inline profile evaluation and 3D measurement of strip and sheet material, e.g. the edge of coating applications, weld seams or extruded profiles. It consists of a frame to which two laser scanners are attached. These record the profile of the top and bottom at 500Hz and enable calculations within the individual profiles as well as combined as a 3D point cloud. The measuring range is 15mm (thickness) and max. 26.8mm (profile) with resolutions of 0.2µm (thickness) or 1,024 points (profile) with an accuracy of +/- 1.2µm.
