The AI-based image processing function FeatureDetect – featured on Hexagon’s Leica Absolute Tracker ATS800 – automatically detects circular features, such as bolt holes and spheres, using an integrated camera. Thanks to patented PowerLock technology, the device – which enables high-resolution direct scanning from distances of up to 40 meters – automatically focuses on a fixed reflector and tracks its movement in real time, thereby establishing an absolute positional reference. Furthermore, the tracker’s integrated Wi-Fi enables remote operation.
