New Center for Optics Production in Aachen
With a competence center in Aachen, the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology networks companies and research into a new photonics location. In the ‘Aachen Center for Optics Production’ (ACOP), the researchers are pooling their expertise with the regional optical industry.
Eleven companies have agreed to support the center in its work. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is supporting the cooperation with an amount of €2.8million over an initial period of three years.
