Phytec’s embedded vision cameras are now also available with control for Corning Varioptic liquid lenses. This makes it possible to adjust the focus of the liquid lenses via the I²C interface using software in order to implement autofocus functions. With the 2.3MP full HD camera VM-020 with global shutter, a liquid lens objective can be connected directly to the camera module. The cameras of the Phycam L series are controlled via an expansion connector, which also enables flash and trigger functions.
