The highlight of Halcon Version 22.05 by MVTec is the new Global Context Anomaly Detection technology. This is a further development of the deep learning technology Anomaly Detection. Previously, only localized, structural anomalies could be detected. The new feature can now also ‘understand’ the logical content of the entire image and only requires good images for training. No labeling of the training data is required. In addition, a deep learning-based training capability has been added to the Deep OCR feature and the print quality inspection (PQI) of barcodes and data codes has been improved. The new release will be released on May 25, 2022.
