The new version of Euresys’ eGrabber 24.01 adds the Metadata Insertion feature to a selection of line-scan firmware variants. When activated, it records metadata beside image data. Line metadata are captured every acquired image line. Buffer metadata are only captured when the first image line of a buffer is acquired. The metadata are composed with a configurable set of general purpose event counters, quadrature encoder position counters and/or I/O line status. The feature allows line-scan applications to correlate image data with system events including motion encoder positions.
