The control of pinholes in the manufacturing of aluminum and cooper foils for batteries is a critical issue, requiring 100% control over the entire length and width of pinholes diameter, dimensions (length, width) and picture. Arck Sensor has therefore developed the pinhole detector Abell which is based on linear cameras for the battery foil market. Based on very high-definition linear cameras and a dedicated lighting system located at the opposite side of the foil, the system is an automatic online pinhole detector dedicated to battery foil slitters (or separator with single foil), testing 100% of the foils.
