On 07 October, MVTec releases version 5 of Merlic. Among other things, improved camera handling is made possible by the Image Source Manager (ISM). This completely separates the image acquisition source from the image processing part, so that image processing applications can be easily copied and executed between different systems without adjusting camera settings. In addition, deep learning functions are now available. Merlic 5, for example, includes deep-learning-based anomaly detection. In addition, MVTec offers a new licensing model with the current release.
