With the IPC Eagle-Eyes AIH, EFCO has developed a scalable hardware platform for Machine Vision. Scalable does not only refer to the computing power of the CPU or the equipment with interfaces, but also to the expandability of the housing – for up to two full-size PCI plug-in cards. The EFCO Eagle-Eyes AIH is the bigger brother of the Eagle-Eyes AIM industrial PC. Where the AIM has four interfaces, the AIH has six: GbE, USB-3.0 and serial. Numerous 6th and 7th generation Intel CPUs can be used as the computing unit. This allows the computing power of the industrial computer to be flexibly adapted. The internal SSD hard disk can be expanded using the externally accessible 2.5″ bay or operated in RAID modes 0, 1 and 5 for increased data security. An expansion module with two 10Gbit/s fiber optic ports (SFP+) designed to handle jumbo frames can be used. The housing of the AIH can also be expanded modularly and then offers two full-fledged PCI slots.
