The MV.Sense b1i optical inspection system by Mabri.Vision measures the shape and wall thickness of translucent plastic packaging and enables 100% inline inspection of packaging material with multiple layers. The measuring system checks the total layer thickness as well as the thickness of the barrier layer and works on the principle of short-coherent interferometry (white light interferometry) with up to 200kHz. The sensors, which are connected to the electronics via optical fibers, can be easily integrated into production lines.
