The optoNCDT 1420LL laser sensors series by Micro Epsilon work with a small laser line instead of a laser dot. This allows them to measure accurately even on rough, diffuse and metallic shiny surfaces. The laser line provides optical averaging and allows compensation for irregular surfaces. This allows stable measurement results with high precision to be achieved on surfaces with roughness, defects, indentations or holes. Models with measuring ranges of 10, 25 and 50mm are available. The standard model has a glass cover plate to protect the receiver unit. In addition, the sensors can also be provided with a protective film.
