Mech-Mind Robotics has launched two new 3D cameras: the LSR L and the UHP-140. The laser-based LSR L, designed specifically for robotic applications with a large field of view, features an RGB sensor for detecting colored objects and creating colored point clouds. The image acquisition time combined with the accuracy (1mm at 3m) enables shorter cycle times even with large fields of view (3,000×2,400mm at 3.0m) and difficult lighting conditions. With an accuracy of 0.03mm, the UHP-140 is designed for high-precision micron-scale applications. With a special image fusion algorithm, the 3D camera reduces blind spots on highly reflective parts.
