The robot-guided line scan camera by Schäfter + Kirchhoff enables flexible scanning of curved surfaces, e.g. for corrosion assessment on car rims or wheel segments, as well as on corrosion test plates. It consists of a sensor head with a high-resolution line scan camera (monochrome or color) and integrated line illumination, which is mounted on a robot arm. The robotic arm performs a scanning motion along a programmed path across the surface. The software evaluates filiform corrosion (ISO21227-4), delamination and corrosion (ISO4628-8), stone chip resistance (ISO20567-1), etc.
