Version 5.2 of MVTec’s Merlic image processing software now includes the Global Context Anomaly Detection deep learning tool. The technology was first used in Halcon in Spring 2022 and ‘understands’ the logical content of images, thereby detecting new variants of anomalies. As in previous versions, users can access the Deep Learning Tool (DLT) for easy labeling and training of training data. The introduction of EasyParams allows users to find and set the relevant camera parameters, regardless of the camera manufacturer. For the first time, image data can also be derived from Merlic. The feature is useful for users as they can now use the images for visualization purposes directly via the communication interface.
