Wenglor (www.wenglor.com) presented a demo of the 2D/3D profile sensor weCat3D MLZL, which is used for robot-based guidance of welding processes, for the first time at Vision. The series has integrated cooling and air purging of the optics and is mounted directly on the welding torch. The acquired measurement data is continuously sent to the controller via the created program in the uniVision software. This is done simultaneously with the welding process, followed by the weld seam check.
