The Chromatiq Spectral Engine (CSE) from Energetiq Technology, a subsidiary of Hamamatsu Photonics, produces light with highly specific spectral content, allowing it to mimic real-world lighting conditions and other customized spectra to meet calibration and testing requirements. This is possible thanks to the high spectral resolution provided by Laser-Driven Light Source (LDLS) technology, a plasma-based broadband light source. The CSE offers a lightning-fast switching speed of <10ms between programmed spectra. The additional NIR wavelength range covers the entire active range of silicon-based detectors from 380 to 1,100nm and enables precise alignment between light source and detector. With the latest version, an extension to the NIR wavelength range is now possible.
