One of the CactuX product lines, calibration Phantoms, strives to push the boundaries of precision in industrial CT. In collaboration with Ctlab Ceitec and RWTH Aachen, the latest research focuses on scale correction in submicron CT. The Voxel-Spirit calibration phantom played a key role in this study, addressing challenges in submicron CT where traditional calibration tools fall short. Designed for extreme precision, the phantom’s calibrated ruby spheres enabled users to correct scaling errors, improving accuracy from 3.35µm to just 0.26µm and reducing measurement uncertainty significantly.
