The P1PY21x ToF sensor from wenglor uses a blue laser (445nm, laser class 2). Thanks to the shorter wavelength, the laser light penetrates less deeply into the object surface, enabling stable detection of dark, shiny, organic, or (semi-)transparent materials. A special filter ensures reliable detection even in the presence of interference from highly emissive objects, such as glowing metals. The wintec sensor is equipped with Dynamic Sensitivity technology and has an operating range of 5m.
