25,600 pixels on an LED chip
The second generation of the hybrid LED Eviyos from Osram accommodates more than 25,000 individually controllable pixels on just 40mm². The individual light points move together to a pixel pitch of 40µm. In the future, vehicles will be able to visually transmit warnings or symbols to the occupants of the vehicle or other road users.
An essential feature of the Eviyos family is that only the pixels that are needed depending on the situation are illuminated. The first generation of the hybrid LED with 1,024 individually controllable pixels will be launched on the market at the beginning of 2020. The market launch of the second generation is planned for 2023.
