AxCIS by Teledyne Dalsa is a new family of highspeed, high-resolution line image capture modules. The Contact Image Sensors (CIS) combine sensors, lenses and illuminators in a single device and are based on Teledyne’s quad-linear CMOS image sensors, which deliver line rates of up to 120kHz for black and white and 60kHz x 3 for color at 900dpi resolution. The staggered sensor design covers the entire field of view with no missing pixels. HDR images can be created with a double exposure mode that provides better detectability of highly reflective materials with improved dynamic range. AxCIS has a Camera Link HS SFP+ fiber interface and is initially available in widths of 400mm and 800mm (as well as other widths in 100mm increments).
