Eureca, as the German distributor of Teledyne FLIR, also offers SWIR cameras with a removed coverglass. These offer spectral sensitivity in the VIS-SWIR range from 400 to 1,700nm. The cameras utilize the Sony IMX990 sensor, for which a method for removing the sensor coverglass has been developed. Many SWIR applications benefit from a coverglass removed from the sensor side, as this reduces the effects of reflections and interference. Ghosting and contrast loss are avoided, and direct access to the sensor surface is also possible for customized coatings or microlens arrays.
