BitFlow, a brand of Advantech, introduced a copper-to-fiber module supporting long distance transmission of data output from a single-link CXP camera to a host PC. Depending on the CXP version, a cable can extend 40m or longer, giving the integrator more options for where to mount the QFi. The QFi outputs camera data via an SFP+ compatible fiber cable assembly and into a BitFlow Claxon quad-link CoaXPress over Fiber frame grabber installed in the host PC. A maximum of four QFi modules can be connected to the grabber. The module will supply a maximum of 13W to a connected CXP camera.
