Hamamatsu Photonics’ C15550-20UP is the first camera with a quantitative CMOS (qCMOS) image sensor that can resolve the number of photoelectrons. The Orca Quest has a noise of 0.27 electrons rms, a resolution of 9.4MP, and a dark current of 0.006 electrons/pixel/s at -35°C.
