The ABB Robotic Depalletizer by ABB Robotic is a solution for complex depalletizing tasks. Using vision software and machine learning, the solution can recognize a variety of carton types and handle pallets up to 2.8m high. The software uses the information collected by the vision sensor to assign the robot a suitable gripping point for each carton. The robot then picks up the carton, which can weigh up to 30kg, and places it either on another pallet or on an outfeed conveyor. Up to 650 cycles per hour are possible. With the RobotStudio simulation and offline programming software, users can adjust depalletizing with regard to carton dimensions, weights and pallet patterns at any time.
