The EasyOCR2 library by Euresys now supports optical character recognition using deep learning technologies, with no need to use a GPU. The software includes two pre-trained character classifiers. It can read short texts such as part numbers, serial numbers or data codes printed with industry standard fonts or OCR-A font. Both classifiers support uppercase letters, numbers and the most common punctuation marks.
