The optoNCDT 5500 laser sensor from Micro-Epsilon is available with four measuring ranges of 10, 25, 100 and 200mm. It offers measuring rates from 0.25 to 75kHz and a maximum power consumption of 5W. The precision of the IP67 sensor is reflected in a linearity from 1.5µm and a reproducibility of less than 0.0015%. The sensor is extremely resistant to ambient light and can be used without any problems in brightly lit areas with up to 50,000 lux ambient light.
