The release 3.7 of the new SDK with Stereolabs’ new Depth Sensing software module based on neural networks for advanced robotics and spatial analytics applications. The new Neural Depth mode generates a depth map up to 2k resolution. The map is able to accurately capture challenging environments such as reflective surfaces and untextured areas. Combined with Stereolabs’ latest Depth Camera, the ZED 2i, the Neural mode works indoors and outdoors with a range of up to 40m and a 120° field of view. The ZED SDK 3.7 has been optimized for the latest Nvidia JetPack 5.0 and Jetson AGX Orin developer kit. In this configuration, Neural mode runs at 34fps on the Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin compared to 12fps on Jetson Xavier NX and JetPack 4.X.
The optoNCDT 1760-1000 long-range laser sensor by Micro-Epsilon also measures at distances of up to 2m with up to 7.5kHz.
