Virtual Clamping for Parts up to 1,400mm

The PolyRobotAutomatedFixtureSystem (PRAFS) from Protos-3D replaces conventional, rigid fixtures with flexible, digitally controlled robot supports in the Zeiss ScanBox. This allows a wide variety of components to be positioned and measured without mechanical modifications or manual setup time. The two new versions, the 2410 and 2414, are designed for component sizes of up to 1,000 and 1,400mm, respectively. They operate with four robots and an integrated vision system that projects the component outlines and geometry onto the screen in real time. Manual adjustment is eliminated.

The acquired data is clamped, analyzed, and documented tension-free using virtual clamping – entirely without physical clamping technology.
