Today’s IIoT environments combine technical information from many different manufacturers on the factory floor. Based on a metadata model, the free of charge technical iiRDS (intelligent information Request and Delivery Standard) standard enables the manufacturer-agnostic delivery, exchange and aggregation of information for use or technical documentation; as well as a gateway for trusted AI, digital twin modelling and future regulatory requirements such as the EU Digital Product Passport (DPP). The iiRDS standard offers a structured approach to delivering the right information at the right time. As leading member of the industrial iiRDS Consortium, tekom Deutschland presents a demo showcase at Vision in which data from a camera and AI-based spare parts recognition system is fed into the metadata model based on the iiRDS.
