Basler introduces a vision system in which the camera, lens, and/or lighting are connected via a single sync cable. The components are controlled using a camera I/O line and an SDK. Neither the lens nor the lighting requires external controllers, additional cables, or separate SDKs. In this new approach, the camera handles the control of the lens and lighting in addition to image acquisition. Serving as an intelligent power I/O cable, the Basler Sync Cable connects the camera, lens, and lighting, enabling communication between them.
