The new models of the xiX camera series by Ximea are equipped with Sony’s Presgius S sensors. The initial lineup starts with camera models based on the IMX530, IMX531, IMX532. The camera head has a small form factor and measures 26x26x33mm. The company has developed a solution how to split the camera into separate pieces, isolating the PCBs and connecting them via a flat flexible ribbon cable. This approach allows minimizing the sensor footprint distancing it from the main body by up to 3m. The speed of 32Gbit/s data throughput is able to ensure 16MP at 150fps, 20MP at 110fps, and 24MP at 105fps.
