The Quantum 360 system by Inoex detects the pipe position and automatically centers itself on the pipe via a cross table. A terahertz sensor is then automatically moved into focus by a linear drive, providing information on wall thickness, diameter, eccentricity and ovality. Dimensional parts are not required for the measurement. Thus, when changing dimensions, only a change of the tube recipe is required.
